Asma is passionate about helping others and developing talent. Her extensive leadership experience helps her support delegates in an informative, responsive and practical way. Lots of humour and enjoyment mixed with insightful personal development.
Asma’s background is in education, with over 20 years’ experience of leadership. Until 2010 she was the Principal of a unique 11 -19 secondary school, which she set up in 2006. An experienced trainer, Asma is adept at delivering training programmes in different aspects of leadership and management. Her understanding of the challenges of leadership in established and scaling organisations means that she is gifted in supporting colleagues facing the pressures that leadership brings.
For the last seven years, Asma has pursued her love of learning. Following three years training in psychotherapy at The Berne Institute, she is now an advanced student of Organisational Transactional Analysis, as well as a Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and a qualified Leadership Coach. Her focus on raising self-awareness and helping colleagues communicate better is a key driver in all aspects of her work.
Relating with ease invites others to do the same and enables energy to be channelled productively. This is vital in the context of leadership and Asma has helped numerous organisations take a fresh look at their culture, values, operating principles and their common frustrations, supporting them in developing a framework and language of improvement.
Asma has a BA in History, plus an MA and Postgraduate qualifications in Leadership and Coaching. She trains and coaches at a national level working with a wide variety of professionals in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. She continues to work closely with schools, colleges and universities and has a particular interest in supporting vulnerable young people, particularly care leavers.
Since joining Impact Factory in 2010, she has focused her considerable skills on developing others on Influencing and Negotiation, Personal Impact, Storytelling, Resilience and Leadership. Asma has facilitated a variety of local, national and global teambuilding events. Some of the clients she has worked with include Uniper Energy, Lloyds Bank, Audley Travel and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
When not working Asma enjoys not talking - watching films and great box sets, listening to music and most of all reading, pondering and generally being curious.
