"It's all about bread!"
An excellent and interactive Customer Service Programme created by Impact Factory for Warburtons
"It's all about bread!" was just one of the slogans we all lovingly coined on our day with the Customer Service team at the extraordinary smelling Warburton's Bakery site in Bolton.
This small bubbly team are already fantastic at making their customers feel listened to and supported... so, after some discussion with the Learning and Development Manager at Warburton's, we thought it would be really getting to the heart of it by working on how to deal with the more sensitive issues around customer service and what's really going on with those more stressful complaints.
A predominantly practical and interactive day was fully charged by the honest, loyal and up-for-it attitude of the customer service team of four.
They worked with absolute dedication with Impact Factory to try out a range of ways to defuse conflict and deal with their customers in a clear, concise manner.
Feedback was key to the day and everyone got stuck straight into it with sincerity, humour and a strong arm of support.
Telling each other exactly when they thought it would work to say more, when perhaps it was better to be somewhat to the point and when it was probably best to keep schtum altogether, or for a short while at least!
The manager of the Customer Services team was delighted, saying:
"The trainers were knowledgeable, made me think and there was a drive for quality and continuous improvement. This was a well run course that was tailored to our needs."
Another member of the Customer Services team wrote:
"I was hoping to gain skills to deal with difficult callers and situations which may arise and the course certainly gave solutions for this. We were able to bring previous experiences into practical examples and the trainers gave suggestions as to how to deal with situations. I think the course was the right combination of advice and practical role play"
The genuine caring, support and hearty laughter of the team lingered with us all the way home, as well as that wonderful smell of freshly baked bread!
