Trixie Rawlinson – Media Skills, Negotiation Skills and Personal Impact
Trixie Rawlinson - Media Skills Senior Consultant
Full of energy and verve, Trixie is one of our Media Skills experts.Trixie brings many of her skills from the world of journalism to her career in training and development.
Her 15 years as a presenter and reporter for BBC Radio (mainly Radio 4 and World Service) took her to the mountains of Bhutan (where she got lost and ended up in Tibet), recording undercover in Spain catching time share criminals and literally undercover in a WWII underground bunker in the dark no torch - six months pregnant. Luckily, it was a wide-ish tunnel. Above ground she has got down and dirty with many a leading figure (Tony Blair; Mad Frankie Frazer; Dr Maya Angelou) and many, many more unknown names who had great stories to tell.
So chutzpah she has.
In a bit of a change in tack from the punchy and some would say, cynical, world of journalism Trixie also spent five years training as a Person Centred Counsellor and maintains a small client list along side her work for Impact Factory.
So what might she bring to the training room? Well...vim and vigour, lots of energy and a quick brain coupled with listening skills honed in the world of psychotherapy, which helps her to offer to each delegate what they want from a course.
Trixie has particular expertise in Media Skills, Presentation Skills, Coaching, Negotiation, Conflict Management, and Customer Service. She is also an Executive Coach.
Most likely to say "...there is always an upside"
Least likely to say "...too much effort"
Recent clients include Burger King, TicketMaster, Wolters Kluwer, Communities and Local Government, Montanaro Asset Management and the British Dental Association.
The mother of two bouncy boys Trixie can also put up a damn fine pillow fight and is finally learning her times tables.
