David Bliss – Presentation Skills, PowerPoint and Communication
Entrepreneur, graphic designer, actor, producer, director, blissful juice-maker, teacher, father, skateboarder. Sounds like a perfect Impact Factory person! Here's David's story and how he came to work with us.
David's entrepreneurial spirit has given him a very varied professional background, which began in advertising as a graphic designer.
His own advertising business was to follow, and it was whilst developing a marketing campaign for a West End production that he realised, like so many other Impact Factory people he wanted to settle down and become an actor.
After selling the business, he went on to train as an actor and has been lucky enough to play some of the leading roles in Shakespeare, as well as various appearances in TV and film. David went on to create his own award winning Theatre Company, producing and directing new work.
In 1999, after spending time in San Francisco, he became aware of the emerging trend in Juice Bars. On his return to England, he saw a gap in the market within his own Health Club and seized the opportunity to develop his own company, 'Bliss Juice Bars'. After seven great years and expansion across London, he successfully sold the business in 2006.
It was the eclectic combination of all these skills that naturally led David into teaching and communication development, working with leading CEOs, attorneys and arbitration groups for The General Medical Council.
David has always been fascinated in what makes us tick and why expressing your ideas and desires in an open and constructive way can produce fantastic results, not only in business, but in every aspect of our lives.
He is delighted to be part of the Impact Factory, a business that not only champions successful communication, but also upholds these principals in the way it operates. As well as working on our Presentation, PowerPoint, Communication Skills Open Courses, David has most recently worked with Kellogg's, the General Social Care Council, MacIntyre Hudson and Johnson Controls.
In his free time David loves to travel and has been lucky enough to spend time with the Dali Lama. He also writes and has a screenplay in development due to be filmed in Holland.
The arrival of his sons Milo and Felix has taken him on a new and exciting journey and he still manages to find time to skateboard, a passion he has had since 1976.
