'It's hard to lead your troops into battle especially if you think you look funny on a horse'.

It's the sort of thinking that sums up my attitude to Leadership development.

I truly believe we can all take the lead in our lives so long as we're allowed to approach it authentically, in our own way. So unsurprisingly all my work around leadership is about helping people to acquire the confidence and skills to do so.

I came to Impact factory 6 years ago and I am now a Senior Consultant, but in my life before Impact Factory I worked as an actress and ran my own successful theatre company and, believe me, there is little else that can give you such a deep insight into the excitement, stress and pain of running your own business, and what is needed to enthuse, motivate and lead people.

Over the years I've worked with a huge variety of theatre directors and actors, with a wide range of styles and behaviours; some useful and some not so useful!

All these experiences have now come together to inform my Leadership work here at Impact Factory.

I've worked at a senior level with the leaders in many organisations helping them become more effective, courageous and inspiring to their teams. Clients such as Microsoft, Tetra Pak, Navitas, Offshore Marine Management, Subsea 7, Hasbro, Arcadia Group, KBC Bank, SThree, Southeastern Trains and Kroll on Track.

Katherine lives in East London, a world she inhabits with her husband, two young sons and an asthmatic cat.
