Graham's back!
This is such a good demonstration of the fact that no one at Impact Factory does just one thing. Graham works with the Globe Education Department, makes the occasional telly appearance in commercials and exciting programmes like Spooks, and takes tours to foreign climes! What was also fun, was that one of our Associates in Training, Anne Stenbom, whilst holidaying in Sweden, picked up a newspaper to read a rave review of Grahams production!
Actually, the production got excellent reviews wherever it went, and performances took place in a variety of unconventional indoor and outdoor spaces, castles and even an old horse barn!
The balcony scene had Juliet accompanied by neighing horses in the adjoining field, and there was the occasional intrusion by passing tractors to the gorgeous Swedish countryside view. Graham and his company had to be prepared for all eventualities on the road not forgetting the drive-by procession of Hells Angels during one fun performance!
The production received a lot of media interest because it was performed in a very minimalist style, with a cart, some costumes and not much else! Oh, and there were only six actors. The performers really were at centre stage, requiring that they and the audience focus tremendously on expression, tone and body language. This, of course, marries entirely with the approach Graham takes to presentation skills work.
Were glad hes back at Impact Factory as he is our big-audience expert. Graham is a champion of presentation work, animating rooms of people with his unique style. Most recently, Graham has been involved in projects with varied clients such as Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, Marks & Spencer Money, Merrill Lynch, Raytheon Systems and Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow.
Much of Grahams expertise comes from his stage work and the knowledge that every audience has a different dynamic, another outlook, and a new expectation. Impact Factory has enabled him to share these gems of wisdom with people who feel awkward, scared or lacking in impact when in front of a large audience. It may not be Romeo and Juliet, but theres always good drama afoot! And if youve got a spare barn to perform in even better!
On the theatrical front, Graham will be kept busy by Shakespeare workshops in Denmark for Globe Education, and plans to revive the Romeo & Juliet production in Sweden and the UK in the Summer. There is also talk of him taking the role of Dante in La Commedia in late 2004.
