Bronia Szczygiel – Project Management and Communication

Bronia is an Impact Factory Partner with a varied career already behind her.

For those who find her surname a challenge there is a lovely legend attached to it. A Szczygiel is a small goldfinch native to Poland. The story goes that when God was giving out colours to the birds the Szczygiel was at the back of the queue. By the time God got to it, he had no colours left. He thought for a moment and then sprinkled the Szczygiel with all the colours of the rainbow.

Trying to live up to the legend can be quite a challenge, one that has taken Bronia down many different paths. A Mathematician by training but never content to stay doing one thing for any length of time Bronia has been an Electronics Engineer and IT Research Scientist as well as covering a variety of roles in a corporate environment including finance management, marketing and strategic planning.

She finished up with a small sprinkling of letters after her name - BSc MIET CEng MNLP – and a strong urge to do something more people focused.

More recently she has brought her IT skills and understanding of the business environment to the support of Impact Factory's Customer Service Programme with Huntingdonshire District Council.

Bronia's interests include Leadership Development and Management Skills.

With four children ranging from 25 to 10 years old, Bronia is pretty busy at home too. To atone for her sins in a previous life she is a Beaver Scout Leader and occasionally calls for her husband's Scottish Ceilidh Band.
